FIRST FEW DAYS OF MAY

Sorry been a bit manic last few days. Am now in UK "en route" to Geneva so will take a few minutes befire heading to bed to bring you up to speed on the build. Particularly keen to post a blog as things are moving at quite a pace, so I want to share the excitement with you.
Friday April 30th - The township inspector and our independent inspector went to check out work to date before back filling could commence. Build was passed with just a couple of minor amendments and back filling went ahead. No basement walls visible now - except where there are windows of course!
Monday May 3rd - after a hot weekend followed by a huge storm Sunday night the earth was just too wet to shift around for regradin. Consequently, all was quiet despite the sunshine.
Tuesday May 4th - a lot of earth was shifted on the lot and lumber delivered for the framing.
Wed May 5th - Framing started. Amish craftsmen doing the framing. When I was there the front of the house was being framed..stood in the front doorway and took photos. Grading of the lot continues.
Thursday 6th - despite what I have told the children over the years I cannot really be in 2 places at one time!! Yet as if by magic ..here I am in England posting photos of progres on the house today. "Big brother"..or sister in my case.. is watching!!
