Well keeping a blog diary bought Julie of "Julie & Julia" fame, so I have decided to follow her example. If it makes it to a movie (haha!) it will help pay for the house.
Today (rather aptly St Patrick's Day! Brits will appreciate that comment, not sure about anyone else?) ...sixteen months and 10 days after buying the land "we" (used in the loosest of terms, as I did not physically do anything!) actually broke ground !!! Yeah! At times it has felt that it might never happen! I dragged 13 year old William and his 2 friends (Steven & Liam)..all of whom are on Spring Break, and had had a sleepover last night ..... ... out of bed to come witness it happening. They were thrilled (!!)..but fairly easily bribed by the promise of breakfast hoagie from Wawa after the event.
Photos were duly taken of the 4 of us with the first bucket of earth. Wanted to take one of William where his bedroom will be, but in typical teenage co-operative mode he did not oblige!) When I have worked out how to do so I will post the photos that were taken.
There will soon be a groove in the roads between Mourar Drive & Merlin Road.....as for the next 12 months I'll be there checking on progress daily (sometimes..like today, more than once a day) Move over Bob The Builder!!
